«Antonio y Cleopatra,» one of Shakespeare’s plays that has been performed less frequently in Argentina, is the story of a passion in which power and sex intertwine in the figures of its protagonists. While they suffer, fear, and live a desperate tale of carnal passion, they are revered as semi-gods by their subjects. Patricio Orozco’s adaptation will envelop the audience in a production with special effects, transporting them to imperial settings where the protagonists reside and to the Mediterranean Sea, where fierce naval battles will take place.
